The African Charter

We, Africa’s Sovereign Development Trust Trust℠, hereby affirm this Charter as a permanent commitment to Africa’s sovereignty, justice, and collective dignity. This Charter establishes foundational principles to guide the pursuit of prosperity, ensuring that Africa’s resources, governance, and cultural heritage serve present and future generations alike.

Guiding Tenets:

1. Africa's Sovereignty: Africa's natural wealth is the sovereign inheritance of its people. It shall be managed with integrity, benefiting all Africans in perpetuity.

2. A Borderless Economy: Aspiring to a cohesive economic space, this Charter envisions an Africa unrestrained by socioeconomic barriers, where trade and cultural exchange thrive while respecting national sovereignties.

3. Unified Currency: Recognising economic integration as a path to global competitiveness, we commit to supporting the development of a unified African currency, enhancing stability and fostering independence from foreign financial volatility.

4. Infrastructure for Transformation: A commitment to build and maintain essential infrastructure, spanning transport, education, healthcare, and energy, to ensure equitable access to resources and opportunities for all.

5. Ethical Governance: African governance shall be grounded in transparency, accountability, and the rule of law, with a responsibility to elevate citizen welfare and uphold democratic principles.

6. Environmental and Cultural Stewardship: This Charter enshrines the protection of Africa's ecosystems and cultural heritage as essential to its identity, promoting sustainable development that honours these assets.

7. Principled Partnerships: Africa invites collaboration with international allies who respect its sovereignty, share its ethical values, and commit to sustainable development in alignment with African priorities.
